The Secret Diary of the WordPress Doctor

Chapter One: Logging into WordPress

I don’t get much free time in between working on WordPress websites in Kent and Yorkshire for our customers, and helping out people who have WordPress websites they are stuck with, (being a Doctor is a serious business), but I did get to thinking…

Whether you are building your own site, or looking after one that has been built for you, getting things perfect can be painful, especially if you are busy…

Although I spend my days working with WordPress for people, I also know how important it is for people to have control and to be able to update their websites at a time that suits them – 2am and can’t sleep? – post that blog you have been meaning too. In the bath and tired of flicking through facebook? Upload those images you took of your latest job. Train delayed again? Style that new page you added.

Don’t get me wrong I love helping out – when you get stuck, don’t have the time, or want to do something really technical – but you should have the power to take charge of your website, as and when works best for you.

This is why I have created a series of Youtube training videos, so you can get help, or just a quick refresher, whenever, and where ever you need it – I’m lovely like that 🙂

Everybody has to start somewhere and right at the beginning usually works best so my first video is just a reminder on how to log in – find yourself unable to remember sometimes? You are not on your own!

To get into the back end of your website you will need to enter /wp-admin to the end of the URL.

Once you have entered this you will then be asked to enter your username and password, if you have forgotten your password, don’t worry, you can do a password reset.

Forgotten the username? Give me a shout 🙂
